Last in Battle is my final degree project, me and 10 other students have produced a 2 minute cinematic. I was in charge of the Character and Props Design as well as Matte Painting, Animation and Set Dressing.
CHARACTER DESIGN
I worked on the design of one of the main characters, Yura, as well as all weapons.
YURA is an undead warrior from an ancient civilization. Her design was meant to transmit her tough personality but maintain a stylized femenine figure. Yura belongs to an empire in which she is the bodyguard of the empress.
My main references were samurais and ninja warriors. I used the gold as a material to convey her hierarchy within the empire. For example the Empire symbol on her shoulder pad. I also did some animations of the cinematic.
The final version was modeled by Luis Galindo and textured by Judit Navarro
MATTE PAINTING
The main goal was to convey the audience that we are no longer in earth. But similar in the forest, atmosphere and terrain. Done with photoshop.
PROP - BOW
I worked on the two characters weapons design.
Here I designed the Ledyan's bow. The male character from the cinematic. He lives in the woods and because of that I designed a bow made of wood and leaves. With a symbolic border edge on the bow's extremes.

PROP - DAGGER
This dagger belongs to Yura, the female character. It is made of noble metals as well as the gemstone placed on the handle. In order to convey her lineage and privileged position inside the Empire.
